Bayou Shimmy (run by Charlie and Kaye) seems to be the bellydance hub for the what's happening in BR area, and even for New Orleans, in many cases.

But you should definitely get on Kruz's e-mail list (currently called his "kiosk") in which he promotes events and generally keeps everyone in touch. His e-mail addy is kruzrakz@webtv.net. Just tell him your story, that you' d like to be added to the e-mail list, and you'll see your story in his kiosk next week.
